PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD
This unit standard will equip learners with the skills, knowledge and values to participate effectively in workplace activities within the CTFL manufacturing industries. This unit standard will provide the learner with the necessary knowledge to understand what materials are used and produced in the CTFL manufacturing process.

The qualifying learner will be capable of:

  • Identifying key/primary raw materials used in manufacturing processes.
  • Identifying the processed (end) product and its uses.
  • Describing the handling and storage of materials.
