PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
A person credited with this unit standard will be able to:
- Apply the health and safety regulations that are relevant to horticultural activities.
- Perform the necessary health and safety checks on the infrastructure and equipment.
- Ensure that hazardous chemicals are safely handled and stored.
- Inspect and verify the standards of the housekeeping practices in the work areas and stores.
- Convene safety meetings to evaluate and improve all aspects of health and safety.
