PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD
The qualifying learner achieving this unit standard will be able to remove, disassemble and install engine system components of agricultural equipment. The installation of the component is performed after repair by a person adequately qualified according to the policy of the workplace. This competence will enable the learner to:

  • Prepare to remove, disassemble and install a component.
  • Remove and disassemble the component.
  • Install the component.
  • Keep the workplace safe and productive.

    This will ensure that engine system components are removed, disassembled and installed in accordance with safe and accepted work practices. This competence will enhance the learner’s employability and career options in all occupations where the occupant must know how to remove, disassemble and install engine system components.
