Education is not a closed concept
Are you aware of the different types of educational platforms that are available?
Education is a gradual process which brings positive changes in the human life and behavior. The educational process can also be defined as: “a process of acquiring knowledge through study or imparting the knowledge by way of instructions or some other practical procedure.”
Do you understand what education is?
Once an individual brings education into their life this is seen as a natural and lasting change in an individual’s reasoning and ability to achieve the targeted goal. Education stands as the facilitating position which allows us to investigate our own considerations and thoughts and makes it ready to express it in various perspectives.
Education is the main thing that encourages us to distinguish between right and wrong because in the absence of education, we can’t do what we need or we can’t achieve our goal.
There are 3 different forms of education:
- Formal Education
- Informal Education
- Non-formal Education
Formal Education
This type of education usually refers to any planned or structured learning event(s). Common examples include the process of grade schooling, university and new hire training at the place of work.
A few elements of formal education include:
- Practical adult learning
- Diversity in methods and content
- Real life examples of learning
Informal Education
When education consists of accidental, unclear, quantitative information, this is usually known as informal education. This kind of information can be received on a daily basis. An important role in informal education is played by mass media, the reason behind this is to ensure that information that comes from mass media is beneficial to their audience.
A few elements of informal education include:
- Practical adult learning
- Real life examples of learning
- Diversity methods and content
Non-formal Education
Any organized educational activity that takes place outside the formal educational system is known as the form of non-formal education. This element of education is usually flexible, learner-centered, contextualized and uses a participatory approach.
A few elements of informal education include:
- Learning from experience
- Learning from home
- Learning from environment
Education is not a closed approach, this is a well diverse approach which encapsulates elements of knowledge and life experience to bring a comprehensive understanding to life.
